Mr Johari Abu Kasim, PERANTIM President, attended the Majlis Dialog MITI 2022 at Dewan Perdana, Menara MITI, in Kuala Lumpur.
The event was hosted by Senior Minister Dato’ Sri Azmin Ali. He was accompanied by Deputy Minister Y.B. Senator Datuk Lim Ban Hong, Secretary General Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali, DSG Dato’ Sri Norazman Ayob and Datuk Bahria Mohd Tamil, CEO MATRADE Datuk Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz and MIDA CEO Datuk Arham Abdul Rahman. All relevant agencies including BNM, KKM, MOF, Kem Sumber Manusia, Immigration, Custom and many other were also attended.
There were many issues were brought into the dialogue including labour and talent shortages, tax, automation, robotic & IR 4.0, funding, grants and many others. Mr. President also took the opportunity to put forward issues like the need for Malaysia to own manufacture critical medical equipment, the incremental cost of doing business, and Buy Malaysian First Policy.
