The President of Malaysian Medical Devices Manufacturers Association (PERANTIM) and Group Managing Director of Kumpulan Star Medik, Mr. Johari Abu Kasim hosted Courtesy Visit from Yang Berusaha Prof. Ir. Dr. Fatimah Ibrahim from Institute of Engineers Malaysia and Malaysian Society of Medical & Biological Engineers (MSMBE) and her Exco members, Assc. Prof. Dr. Nashrul Fazli Mohd Nasir and Puan Haslin Ismail . The meeting took place at Star Medik Headquarters and was also attended by PERANTIM’s EXCO and Members. Both parties discussed avenues of collaboration, inter-alia; innovation, R&D, end products marketability, Meddev registrations, training, student placements, working opportunities of graduates at PERANTIM’s members places and many others. PERANTIM will be arranging to visit Prof. Ir. Dr Fatimah at her UM facilities soon to better comprehend her offering and capabilities. There are lots of avenues that can be capitalised from these working relationship for the benefits of Malaysian and Industry.
