Mr. Johari Abu Kasim, Deputy Chairman of PERANTIM recently participated in an Export Acceleration Mission (EAM) to Moscow, Russia with the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation. Mr. Johari was in Russia to promote its products under Star Medik Sdn Bhd, while at the same time, took the opportunity to meet with the General Director of Medical Manufacturers Association of Russia, Dr. Smirnov Alexander.
Based on the discussion held between Mr. Johari and Dr. Smirnow, it was made to understand that some of the members under the Medical Manufacturers Association of Russia is actively looking for certain product list which is produced by Malaysian Manufacturers listed under PERANTIM – and will communicate with the manufacturers directly. Mr. Johari was also advised by Dr. Smirnov that the registration process for Medical Devices in Russia can be a rather complicated process.
