Some of the points brought fwd to Minister’s attention:
1. The high cost of international certifications like CE, which can reach up to RM2 million per product, has caused significant burden, especially for smaller manufacturers.
2. Restrictions in certain countries that prevent our products from participating in their government procurement processes.
3. Limited access to advanced technology, which hampers the production of high-quality, low-cost, and efficient products.
4. More needs to be done to encourage the use of local products to help strengthen our industry and ecosystem.
5. The country need to invest in advanced technology which can reduce costs and improve competitiveness.
6. More program to develop local talent – Training and education will help create a skilled and competitive workforce.
